Method

1. Fill a mixing glass with ice and add the rye, vermouth and bitters.

2. Stir for 25 to 30 seconds until well chilled.

3. Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass.

4. Drop in a cherry or twist a lemon peel over the surface.
